Efficiency and time-saving apps for business

These are some of the ancillary apps we recommend – not all will suit every business, but it’s rare that we complete an implementation of one of the apps above, without also recommending at least one of these.

This is a bit of a catch-all category, because these apps don’t offer similar features and we have some clients running all of them. We’re likely to add new apps to this list – there are at least a half a dozen others we sometime recommend depending on the client’s needs.

ApprovalMax

Smaller SMEs have a simple purchasing solution – the owner places every order. It works until your business reaches the size to delegate. Approval Max provides a range of features beyond the solution native to Xero. For growing SMEs and most NFPs, this is a must-have app.

We started recommending this app way back in 2011, and it keeps on getting better over the years. Save time, and of course money, automating your Accounts Payable function, integrate Dext with Xero then also with Approval Max for an end-to-end solution.

A really nice solution to a problem that often either gets dealt with poorly, or not at all. You’ve just signed up a new client, you want to start selling to them right away – right? Who wants to spend time getting the client to fill in credit applications and following up with credit checks? Pencilpay automates this for you, with a really nice integration to other apps.

StockTrim

An issue that can kill any inventory based business is having the wrong stock on hand: sometimes there’s just too much on hand, and yet you can’t fulfill other orders because you’re out of stock. Managing this over a large number of SKUs can be really difficult – which is where StockTrim comes in. An app that can pay for itself many times over, and definitely worth a look.
